Team Southern Indiana 2011 Red was eliminated Sunday night 60-41 by the New Jersey ShoreShots in the first round of bronze bracket play in Orlando at the AAU Super Showcase.

The ShoreShots took control of the game midway through the first period and never looked back.

TSI 2011 Red, which finished Super Showcase play with a 2-2 record, was led by Floyd Central’s Barrett Crone, Corydon’s Brandon Dunaway and New Albany’s Chris Whitehead, who each had eight points. Other scorers: Northfield Mount Hermon (Mass.)’s Aaron Cosby and Bedford North Lawrence’s Braden Knight each finished with six points, and Jeffersonville’s V.J. Billups added five.

The loss ended a spectacular run for TSI’s flagship team, which included tournament championships at the Bearcat Classic, Hoops’ Crossover Classic, the Blue Chip Memorial Day Hoopfest and the Hoosier Shootout.
