Week four scores and highlights from the Team Southern Indiana Spring Basketball League Boys’ High School Division at Sellersburg Nolan Fieldhouse:
First round
Sycamores 105, Jaguars 67: Eastern’s Dakota Snider poured in 23 points and Brownstown’s Jonah Persinger added 18 as the Sycamores thumped the Jaguars. Henryville’s Devin Richey led the Jaguars with a game-high 33 points.
Bulldogs 67, Cardinals 45: Brandon Sizemore and Blake Davis, both of South Ripley, totaled 27 and 14 points, respectively, and the Bulldogs blew past the Cardinals. Madison’s Tyler Manaugh led the Cardinals with 10.
Quarterfinals
Boilermakers 66, Aces 54: Jeffersonville’s Blake Lieras finished with 17 points and Floyd Central’s Nick Bomersbach had 16 to lead the Boilers over the Aces. Eastern’s Trey Albertson paced the Aces with 17.
Hoosiers 54, Sycamores 39: The Providence duo of Aaron Shahroudi and Colin Daly finished with 17 and 11 points, and the Hoosiers eliminated the Sycamores. Brownstown’s Trey DeHart scored 13 for the Sycamores.
Wildcats 53, Irish 36: Brownstown’s Spencer Allman scored the Irish for 37 points, helping the Wildcats move on in tournament play. Charlestown’s Cody Donahue finished with 10 for the Irish.
Crusaders 64, Bulldogs 59: Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier’s Nathan Smith racked up 22 points and Northeast Dubois’ Bryce Huebner added 17 as the Crusaders slid past the Bulldogs. Sizemore had 19 for the Bulldogs.
Semifinals
Crusaders 63, Wildcats 62: Huebner totaled 29 points and Smith chipped in 10, and the Crusaders advanced past the Wildcats. Allman had 32 for the Wildcats.
Hoosiers 70, Boilermakers 59: Shahroudi finished with 23 points and his Pioneer teammate Grant Goad managed 17 points in the Hoosiers semifinal win. Charlestown’s David Cissell had 17 for the Boilermakers.
Championship
Hoosiers 59, Crusaders 43: Daly scored 21 and Shahroudi 12 as the Hoosiers won the 2011 Team Southern Indiana Spring Basketball League Boys’ High School Division, beating the Crusaders. Smith finished with 12 in the loss for the Crusaders.
