Chase Spreen, a former star at Bedford North Lawrence who graduated in 2008, is having a great senior campaign at Lindsey Wilson College, a NAIA Division I program in Columbia, Ky.

Spreen is averaging 16.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest, and his No. 14-ranked Blue Raiders are 13-4 overall and 5-1 in Mid-South Conference play.

But Spreen’s biggest success came Saturday night as Lindsey Wilson played host to No. 5 Georgetown (Ky.).

Spreen, who finished the game with 23 points and nine rebounds, netted an 80-foot shot as time expired to lift the Blue Raiders to victory, 79-78. See the video, which was shown on ESPN Sports Center:
