Three Rockets scored in double figures in the win. Junior forward Setric Millner Jr. led the team with 27 points. Dennis also had 9 rebounds.

Charlotte’s Clyde Trapp had a double-double of 24 points and 12 minutes for Charlotte, which lost for the first team following three wins to open the season.

The Rockets will meet Tulane (2-2) in the second round of the tournament Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The Green Wave moved on with a 90-87 overtime win over Drexel on Monday.
