SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The host San Antonio Spurs scored the game’s final 15 points to stun Romeo Langford and the Boston Celtics 96-88 on Friday evening at the AT&T Center.

Langford scored 3 points in 17 minutes. He also had 4 rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot for the Celtics, who led 70-63 after three quarters and stretched the advantage to 88-81 with under 3 minutes to play.

Langford went 1 for 3 from the field. All three of his attempts were from behind the 3-point arc. His 3 came with 3:56 left in the third quarter and put Boston, which trailed 30-14 after one quarter and by as many as 24 points in the second quarter, ahead 61-54.

Dejounte Murray and Derrick White had 6 points apiece in San Antonio’s game-clinching 15-0 run. Murray finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals and White contributed 17 points, 8 boards and 7 assists for the Spurs, who improve to 5-13 and ended a 6-game losing streak. The Spurs were 5 for 6 from the field and 5 for 6 from the foul line in the final 2 minutes and 58 seconds of the contest.

The Celtics (10-10) dropped their second in a row on the heels of a 3-game winning streak. They were led by 24 points and 12 rebounds from Jayson Tatum. The two teams combined to go 16 for 60 from the 3-point line (26.7 percent).

“We’re going to figure it out,” Tatum said. “I’m certain of it.”
