Few Silver Creek players have ever won once at Jeffersonville. Branden Northern has now done it twice.
Northern had a game-high 31 points and helped the 3-3 Dragons pull away from the 1-4 Red Devils for a 71-57 victory at Johnson Arena on Friday. Northern’s father, Bryant, starred at Jeffersonville.
Northern followed up Friday’s game with 27 points in Creek’s 64-51 loss at Seymour.
Northern and the Dragons will participate at the Jefferson County Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday. They open Wednesday against Class 2A No. 11 Southwestern (5-1) and will face either Jay County (5-1) or Scottsburg (6-1) in the second round.
