With 29 points from Brysen Montgomery, Austin pulled off perhaps the biggest upset of the year so far with an 80-70 win over Madison on Saturday night.

Madison was coming off its own upset, 57-54 in overtime over Bedford North Lawrence on Friday. BNL then beat Silver Creek on Saturday evening.

Austin (2-5) had lost five of its first six games, including a 65-51 loss against Paoli on Friday, heading into Saturday’s contest.

It was the Eagles’ final contest until Jan. 7 at North Harrison (4-1).
