West Washington senior guard Madison Brown had probably the best game of her career last Wednesday in a 56-15 victory over Cannelton.
Brown had her first-ever double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Seven of the rebounds came on the offensive glass. She also finished with 7 assists and 6 steals and was 7 for 10 from the floor.
“Madison is a player that continues to be a leader on the floor and consistently balances out the box score,” West Washington head coach Matthew Myers said.
Brown is averaging 11 points, 7 rebound and 3 assists per game this season for the 10-4 Senators, who host Class A No. 8 Trinity Lutheran (10-5) on Thursday.

• Kennedy Coleman, Charlestown: Coleman had a game-high 20 points as the Pirates defeated Chatard 63-41 in the Donna Cheatham Classic at Scottsburg last Tuesday.
Caitlyn Cook, Borden: The Braves senior had 11 points, 4 rebounds and an assist in Borden’s 59-37 loss to Austin last Tuesday.
• Hadley Crosier, Lanesville: The freshman had 22 points, 7 deflections, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals as Lanesville knocked off Floyd Central 49-31. Crosier 6 for 9 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, and made all eight of her free throw attempts.
• Kaidin James, New Washington: James had a team-best 21 points in the Mustangs’ 44-41 victory over Hauser on Thursday.
