Silver Creek stayed in the same spot in this week’s Indiana Basketball Coaches’ Association poll but is joined by two other teams this week.
Creek (20-1) is joined by neighboring schools Fishers (16-4), who was No. 10 last week, and Westfield (17-4), which fell from No. 6 last week after a loss at Brownsburg on Friday.
The defending Class 3A state champion Dragons (20-1) have won eight straight games heading into Tuesday’s showdown with No. 12 Columbus East (16-3). The Olympians climbed three more spots after recent wins over No. 5 Bedford North Lawrence (18-2), New Albany (5-17) and Jennings County (16-4), which was one of 38 schools to receive at least one vote this week.
Tuesday’s matchup is the regular-season finale for the Dragons.
Lanesville (21-1), which has won 17 games in a row heading into Friday’s regular-season finale at Scottsburg (10-9), continued to received votes in the poll.
