Langford is headed southwest, along with Jason Richardson, in a deal that will bring Derrick White to Boston. The Spurs also received a Celtics’ first-round draft pick (top-4 protected) in the deal.
Langford, who played one season at Indiana University, is averaging 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 44 games this season, but his role had diminished in recent weeks in Boston.
White, a 27-year-old out of Colorado, is averaging a career-best 14.4 points, 5.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds. Richardson, 41, is averaging 9.1 points in his 13th NBA season.
