Coleman went 5 for 6 from the field, 2 for 3 from the 3-point line and 2 for 2 at the free throw line in the victory. Over the Wolfpack’s last two games, both wins over San Jose State, Coleman is 8 for 9 from the floor, 3 for 4 from deep and 3 for 3 at the foul line. In Thursday’s win, the former Jeffersonville star had three assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Nevada (12-13, 6-8 MWC) led 18-13 early before a 13-0 Wolfpack run broke open the contest. Coleman capped the streak with a 3-pointer to make it 31-13 with 8:24 to go in the first half.
Junior guard Grant Sherfield, a Wichita State transfer, had another big night with 25 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.
Freshman guard Myron Amey had 16 points to lead San Jose State (7-19, 0-14), which is currently on a 14-game losing streak.
Nevada will try to make it four in a row Tuesday when it hosts UNLV (15-11, 7-6) at 11 p.m. Coleman and the Wolfpack can be seen on the CBS Sports Network.
