Toliver, Kincaid star in Blue Chip camp all-star games

Keegan KincaidNew Albany senior-to-be Morgan Toliver and Switzerland County junior-to-be Keegan Kincaid turned in solid performances Wednesday night in the all-star games of the summer’s first session of Rick Bolus‘ High Potential Blue Chip Basketball Camp in Georgetown, Ky.

  • Toliver netted 16 points and was a leading contributor for the White All-Stars in their 138-125 win versus the Red All-Stars in the camp’s Top-30 All-Star Game. The White team was led by Miami (Fla.) commitment Ismaila Dauda, a 6-foot-10 center who poured in a game-high 25 points.
  • Kincaid was selected for the camp’s Second 30 All-Star Game; he scored 18 points in the Red team’s defeat. Jac-Cen-Del senior-to-be Trevor Arnett added 14 for the Red team.
  • Heritage Hills freshman-to-be Devon Merder was picked for the Junior Blue Chip All-Star Game.
  • Four locals — Arnett, Kincaid, Toliver and Jeffersonville’s Trice Whaley — were placed on the same team for league play at Blue Chip. The team broke a league record Wednesday for most points scored in a contest, racking up 138 points in a game.
  • Other Southern Indiana campers: Derek Hammelman, freshman-to-be, Castle; Chad Hudson, eighth grader-to-be, River Valley/Jeffersonville; Isaiah Jones, junior-to-be, New Albany and Connor Schellenberg, junior-to-be, Floyd Central,
  • Session two of the camp will take place July 18-22 at Georgetown College.
