TSI Spring League: Boys’ High School Division — Week 1

Week one scores and highlights from the Team Southern Indiana Spring Basketball League Boys’ High School Division at Sellersburg Nolan Fieldhouse:

Hoosiers 61, Sycamores 41: Providence’s Aaron Shahroudi poured in 17 points and his Pioneer teammate Colin Daly added 12 as the Hoosiers picked off the Sycamores. Browntown’s Trey DeHart and Jennings County’s Justin Webster finished with 12 and 10, respectively, in defeat for the Sycamores.

Bulldogs 90, Cardinals 62: Providence’s Brock Hayden totaled 19 points and South Ripley’s Blake Davis chipped in 15 as the Bulldog rocked the Cardinals. Edinburgh’s Brandon Edwards and Columbus East’s Ross Williams totaled 15 and 12 for the Cardinals.

Crusaders 78, Wildcats 74: Northeast Dubois’ Blake Huebner went off for 29 points and New Albany’s Landon Howard added 12 as the Crusaders inched past the Wildcats in triple overtime. The Brownstown duo of Spencer Allman and Tanner Payton scored 32 and 22 in the loss.

Wildcats 58, Bulldogs 54: Allman capped the day with 22 points and Payton added 20 as the Wildcats got their first victory, beating the Bulldogs. Jerad Walters and Brandon Sizemore, both of South Ripley, put in 17 in the loss for the Bulldogs.

Hoosiers 60, Crusaders 59: Daly had 17 and Sharoudi 12 as the Hoosiers held on to upend the Crusaders. Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier’s Christopher Mitchell paced the Crusaders in defeat with 19.

Sycamores 63, Cardinals 39: Lanesville’s Alex Ansman amassed 16 points, Brownstown’s Jonah Persinger added 10, and the Sycamores thrashed the Cardinals. Tanner Sawley and Tyler Manaugh, both of Madison, each finished with 13 for the Cardinals.

Aces 64, Jaguars 61: Borden’s Garrett Vick totaled 17 and Eastern Pekin’s Trey Albertson chipped in 12 as the Aces got past the Jaguars in overtime. West Washington’s Zach Trueblood and Austin’s Kameron Draper finished with 14 and 13, respectively, for the Jaguars in the loss.

Boilermakers 61, Irish 53: Floyd Central’s Nick Bomersbach got 14 points and Clarksville’s Marquise Parrish added 13, and the Boilermakers defeated the Irish in overtime. New Albany’s Parker Henes exploded for a division-high 35 points in defeat for the Irish.

Irish 56, Aces 50: Henes netted 13 and Silver Creek’s Collin Tingle had 10, leading the Irish to their first victory.

Boilermakers 79, Jaguars 50: Bomersbach capped off a solid weekend with 18 points, and Parrish and Charletown’s Josh Cissell each added 15 as the Boilermakers whipped the Jaguars. Draper was the Jaguars top performer, totaling 12.
