Notre Dame Academy (Ky.) upended Mishawaka 76-60 and Fort Wayne Canterbury whipped Avon 80-59 to advance in Saturday morning’s fifth-place bracket semifinals at the Subway/Columbus North Invitational.
Olivia Voskuhl netted 23 points and Haylee Smith chipped in 18 for Notre Dame. Mishawaka was led by Taylor Parmley‘s 17 points.
Fort Wayne Canterbury had three players with 20-plus points in their commanding victory: Kindell Fincher tallied 27 points, Darby Maggard hit five 3-pointers and had 25 and Bailey Farley 23. Avon was led by Brooke Peters‘ 10 points.
Canterbury and Notre Dame will meet for fifth-place and Avon and Mishawaka will compete for seventh-place. Both games will be at 3:30.
