Columbus North rallied in the second half to knock off Roncalli 40-37 and Fort Wayne South cruised past Norwell 65-48 in the semifinals of the Subway/Columbus North Invitational, setting up a showdown tonight at 7 between the host Bull Dogs, ranked No. 2 in Class 4-A, and the No. 3 Archers for the tournament’s inaugural championship.
Tayler Goodall connected on four of her six 3-pointers in the second half to lead Columbus North, and Kelsey Cunningham added four 3-pointers for 12 points. Roncalli was led by freshman Lindsey Corsaro‘s 13 points, and Bridget Perry finished with 11.
Lakyn Gulley knocked down five 3-pointers and collected 17 points and Brittni Clopton and Lynnia Noel each added 12 as Fort Wayne South cruised to a semifinal victory. Norwell got 11 points from Paige Frisch and 10 from Laken Chaney.
Roncalli and Norwell will hook up tonight at 5:15 to determine third and fourth places.
