Bloomington South built a 23-9 first-quarter margin and crushed New Albany 94-34 to win the second-place bracket today in Carmel at the USSFA State Tournament, a double-elimination event for high school teams.
Bloomington South was eliminated from the winner’s bracket Saturday by Mt. Vernon (Fortville), and New Albany fell to the secondary bracket after a loss to Brownsburg.
In the winner’s bracket, Mt. Vernon edged Carmel for the title.
