Corydon senior Garett Ross headlined a small contingent of Southern Indiana players last week at the first session of Rick Bolus‘ Blue-Chip High Potential Camp in Georgetown, Ky.
Ross, a 6-foot-3 guard, was named to the camp’s “second 30” all-star game, in which he scored 10 points and led his team to a 112-103 victory.
At the camp, HoosierHillsHoops.com learned of two new prospects of interest — East Central senior Kevin Kidd and Jennings County sophomore Sam Hunt.
Kidd, a 5-foot-9 point guard, was selected for the camp’s “top-30” all-star game. He finished with just four points, but was impressive with his surreal quickness and superior ball handling.
Hunt, a 6-foot-8 center, joined Ross as an all-star selection in the “second 30” game.
Other Southern Indiana locals on the camp’s roster included:
- Braden Burk, Switzerland County, freshman
- Tyler Harper, South Spencer, sophomore
- Cody Jackson, Silver Creek, senior
- Troy Kunkel, North Decatur, sophomore
- Jalen Obertate, Lawrenceburg, freshman
- Zachary Ricketts, Silver Creek, sophomore
- A.J. Schmidt, Providence, sophomore
- Blake Schmidt, Providence, sophomore
- Josh Schulte, South Spencer, freshman
- Garrett VanKirk, Heritage Hills, junior
Session two of the 29-year-old camp is slated for July 12-16.
