BOSTON — According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, former New Albany Bulldog Romeo Langford will spend at least a fourth season in Boston.

Wojnarowski reported Monday that Langford, the 14th selection in the 2019 NBA Draft, has been signed by Boston through the end of the 2022-23 season.

Langford, who has a career scoring average of 2.9 points while battling through injuries at the start of his career, has a career-best 6-point average through three games in 2021-22.

The former Indiana Hoosier star also has nine rebounds, two assists and two steals early in the season in spite of a calf injury. He is shooting 50 percent (4 for 8) from beyond the 3-point stripe.

Boston also picked up the contract of center Grant Williams, who is averaging 9.8 points and 2.3 rebounds. Williams 22nd pick in the 2019 draft.

Second-year players Payton Pritchard and Aaron Nesmith were also signed by Boston through the end of the 2022-23 season, according to Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Nesmith (0.0 point, 1.3 rebounds, 1 assist per game) was chosen 14th overall the same year. Pritchard (3.4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists) was the 26th pick in 2020.

Langford and the Celtics (2-4) host the Chicago Bulls (5-1) Monday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
