ROMEO TRACKER: Late surge lifts Chicago past Langford, Celtics

BOSTON — The Chicago Bulls outscored the Boston Celtics 39-11 in the fourth quarter for a 128-114 victory to improve to 6-1 on the season.

New Albany graduate Romeo Langford scored four points on 2-of-4 shooting in the loss. He also had an assist in his 11 minutes off the Celtics’ bench.

First-year Bull DeMar DeRozen led the Chicago comeback with 37 points. He went 15 of 20 from the floor and was one of five Bulls in double figures. Zach LeVine added 26.

Boston, which led 103-89 after three quarters, got 28 points from Jaylen Brown. The Celtics were just 5 for 23 from the field, missing all 8 of their 3-point attempts, in the fourth quarter. The Bulls made 13 of their 16 shots (81.3 percent) in the final stanza. At 6-1, Chicago is off to its best start since 1996-97.

Langford and the Celtics (2-5) has a night off Tuesday before heading to Orlando for a 7 p.m. start against the Magic on Wednesday.
