Jacobi, who helped lead Silver Creek to two state championships, went 4-for-5 from the field and grabbed five rebounds in 17 minutes off the Toledo bench.
Jacobi’s first basket — at the 15-minute mark, broke a 10-10 tie. Forty-three seconds later, Jacobi put the Rockets ahead 14-10 with his second straight basket. After leading 43-35 at the half, Jacobi’s layup with 9:42 on the clock made it 60-52 Rockets.
Jacobi, who scored 2 points in his debut in a win over Valparaiso, scored his final bucket on an assist from Ryan Rollins with 3:03 remaining. That put Toledo ahead 74-61.
Rollins led the way with 19 points for Toledo, which travels to Oakland (Mich.) on Wednesday. That game can be seen on ESPN Plus.
Detroit (0-2) was led by a game-high 23 points from senior Kevin McAdoo.
