Salem senior Abigail Ratts has been a stat stuffer for years. Last week was no exception.
On Thursday, Ratts finished with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 6 steals and 6 assists to lead the Lions to a 55-39 win at Paoli and earn the Hoosier Hills Hoops Player of the Week honor.
“Abigail is one of the hardest workers on the floor every night,” Salem coach Jerry Hickey said. “She is a double-double machine and has committed to being a defensive force every night.”
Ratts and the Lions are now 5-2 on the season after Thursday’s win. They playe three straight games against Mid-Southern Conference foes, beginning Tuesday night when they host Brownstown Central (3-6), followed by three straight against the area’s top 4A programs, followed by three more games against top MSC competition.
