It could be argued that Tucker Biven was the best player on the floor against one of the state’s top teams Saturday.
Biven finished with 30 points in a 63-56 overtime defeat by now-No. 1 Zionsville (4-0). In the defeat, Biven went 10 for 23 from the floor, 4 of 15 from behind the 3-point arc and made 6 of his 9 free throw attempts. He also had 8 rebounds and 2 assists to earn the Hoosier Hills Hoops Player of the Week Award.
The night before — in New Albany’s 61-59 win over Evansville Harrison — Biven finished with 9 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds. He went 5 for 6 from the line in the victory.
