TOLEDO, Ohio — Former Silver Creek star Kooper Jacobi went scoreless in 12 minutes, but his Toledo Rockets improved to 7-2 on the season with a 67-65 victory over visiting Bradley on Tuesday at Savage Arena.
Jacobi, who helped lead the Dragons to two state championships, went 0 for 5 from the floor with 3 rebounds and an assist in the victory.
The Rockets got a big game from sophomore guard Ryan Rollins, who went for 27 points and 3 rebounds. Junior forward JT Shumate contributed 18 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists for Toledo, which rebounded from a 13-point loss at Michigan State on Saturday.
Bradley, which is now 4-6, got 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists from junior guard Terry Roberts.
The Rockets go to Richmond on Saturday for a showdown with the 5-4 Spiders. Jacobi and the Rockets can be seen taking on Richmond on ESPN Plus at 6 p.m.
