Fourteen local teams play in holiday tournaments on Tuesday, including the traditional Silver Creek Holiday Tournament, and New Albany hosts Seymour in a Hoosier Hills Conference showdown.

• Outlook: it’s become pretty obvious, especially considering Silver Creek has already lost more games this year than any of the last three, that the Dragons aren’t quite as good as they have been. They’re still good enough to accomplish a lot this season.

In fact, in our research, we couldn’t find the last time the Owls began conference play 2-0.

• Outlook: Beating Seymour isn’t usually a big win. This time it would be for the Bulldogs.

• Outlook: The Eagles may perhaps win this game, but Harrell and Sagarin are insane if they believe this is going to be an 18- or 19-point loss.

• Outlook: The Rebels are better than their record. They’ll keep this close.

• Outlook: The Senators got a big win at Salem. Perhaps that will kickstart a nice run.
