FRESNO —
Tre Coleman scored eight points but it wasn’t enough as his Nevada Wolf Pack fell 73-56 at Fresno State in a Mountain West Conference contest Friday evening at Save Mart Center.
Coleman, a sophomore and former Jeffersonville star, went 3 for 6 from the field, including 2 of 3 from behind the 3-point arc, in the loss. He also finished with three rebounds, two assists and a steal as the Wolf Pack lost their fourth straight game.
Nevada (9-11, 3-6 MWC) was led by senior guard Desmond Cambridge Jr., who had 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots and a steal off the Nevada bench. Fresno State (16-6, 6-3) was paced by junior guard Anthony Holland, who finished with game highs of 21 points and 10 rebounds, and junior forward Orlando Robinson’s 15 points, six boards and three assists.
Coleman and his Nevada teammates will try to end their losing streak Sunday in a makeup game at San Diego State (12-6, 4-3). The Aztecs have lost three of their last five games, including a 58-57 defeat at the hands of Colorado State on Friday. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Veijas Arena in San Diego.

DETROIT — The Boston Celtics dominated from the start and won its fourth straight game, 102-93 over Detroit on Friday evening at Little Caesars Arena.
Former New Albany and Indiana University star Romeo Langford contributed nine points in 19 minutes as the Celtics led 28-16 after one quarter, 44-31 at halftime and 76-56 through three quarters.
Langford went 3 for 7 from the floor, 1 for 3 from behind the 3-point arc and 2 for 4 at the foul line in the victory.
The Celtics, who are now 29-25 and in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, were led by 24 points from Jayson Tatum. Former Kentucky star Hamidou Diallo and second-year pro Saddiq Bey scored 21 apiece to lead Detroit.
Boston goes to Orlando on Sunday to face a 12-41 Magic team that has the worst record in the NBA but has won three of it last four and four of its last six games. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

LOUISVILLE — Defending Atlantic Sun champion Liberty handed Bellarmine its second conference loss of the season, 66-53 at Freedom Hall on Saturday.
The game was tied at 25-apiece at halftime but Liberty got hot the in second half, while Bellarmine stayed cold the entire night. The Flames held Bellarmine to 35.1 percent shooting (20 for 57) and the Knights managed to make just five of their 22 3-point attempts in the loss.
Liberty outscored the Knights 41-28 in the second half to improve to 16-7 overall and 7-1 in the A-Sun. The Flames have won eight of their last nine games. Bellarmine is now 13-10 overall and a half-game behind the Flames at 7-2 in conference play.
Senior guard CJ Fleming was just 4 for 15 from the field but led the Knights with 14 points. Senior forward Ethan Claycomb added 11 points and former Providence standout Juston Betz finished with six points, six rebounds and a pair of assists.
It’s only the fourth time this season someone other than senior guard Darius McGhee has led the Flames in scoring. This time it was junior forward Shiloh Robinson, who finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. McGhee finished with 13. Four different Flames scored in double figures.
Bellarmine will host another A-Sun contest at Freedom Hall on Saturday when its hosts Kennesaw State (9-13, 4-5) at 7 p.m. The game will be aired on ESPN Plus.

LAS VEGAS — Former Jeffersonville star
Tre Coleman had his second-best scoring output of the season, but it wasn’t enough as his Nevada Wolf Pack suffered a 69-58 Mountain West Conference loss to in-state rival UNLV on Tuesday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Coleman and the Wolf Pack are now 10-10 on the season (and 3-5 in the MWC) after suffering their fifth loss in their last seven game and their third straight defeat despite Coleman going 5 for 5 from the field and contributing 10 points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal in 31 minutes.
Junior guard Kenan Blackshear led the Wolf Pack with 17 points and six rebounds. Four Nevada players scored in double figures. UNLV senior Bryce Hamilton matched Blackshear with 17 to lead the Runnin’ Rebels.
Nevada shot just 34.5 percent (19 for 55) and made just three of its 17 3-point attempts (17.6 percent) in the loss.
The Wolf Pack will try to bounce back Saturday when they visit Fresno State. The Bulldogs are 15-6 after beating San Jose State 73-43 on Tuesday. The game is scheduled for 11 p.m. locally and will air on Fox Sports 1.

LOGAN, Utah —
Jake Heidbreder and the Air Force Falcons suffered a tough 73-46 Mountain West road loss Tuesday at Utah State.
Utah State senior forwards Justin Bean and Brandon Horvath — two of the Mountain West’s top players — scored 17 points apiece for Utah State (13-9, 4-5 MWC), which has won three straight games.
Heidbreder, a freshman from Floyd Central, went 2 for 5 from the field and 2 for 2 at the free throw line for six points. He also finished with two steals, two assists and a rebound.
No Falcons scored in double figures. Sophomore guard Joseph Octave’s nine points was the team’s best. Air Force (10-10, 4-6), which has lost six of its last eight games, was out-rebounded by the Utes 36-16. Bean and Horvath had nine boards each.
Air Force will try to stop its skid Saturday when Heidbreder and the Falcons host New Mexico (8-14, 1-8) at 8 p.m. The game will air on the CBS Sports Network.
