BOSTON — Romeo Langford continues to be hot from behind the 3-point arc and his Boston Celtics won for the third time in four games Wednesday at home against Toronto.
Langford went 2-for-3 from the 3-point line — bringing his season 3-point percentage up to 46.7 percent (7-for-15) — in the Celtics’ 104-88 triumph at T.D. Garden Center.
Less than 30 seconds after entering the game for Dennis Schroder, Langford made his first 3 on an assist from Jayson Tatum to put Boston up 21-16. A minute later, Tatum assisted a second Langford 3 and the Celtics led 26-19. Thanks in large part to Langford’s flurry, Boston led 33-25 at the end of a one quarter. The Celtics led the rest of the way.
Tatum led the Celtics (5-6) with 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Schroder had 20 points in the win.
Langford, who added two rebounds and an assist Wednesday, and the Celtics can be seen on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. Friday when they host the defending World Champion Milwaukee Bucks.
Rookie Scottie Barnes led Toronto (6-6) with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. The Raptors shot just 42.9 percent and turned the ball over 18 times.
